Hello Team 7A Parents and Guardians,
First, I'd like to apologize on behalf of the team for any tardy email replies, Edmodo posts, or classroom updates (like this one!) because, as you may have heard, the district had a few weeks with limited to no internet access. We are so happy that the internet is back to normal now!
In class, we've been working on algebraic expressions. Students had a quiz today (Fri, Dec 18) which will be included in their progress reports (heading home Monday, Dec 21). As mentioned above, a few homework grades were late to make it into Edmodo, so please check the portal now as all grades have been updated. As a reminder, here is the key I use when inputting progress report grades:
S - Satisfactory - means the student has at least an 80% average (A or B grade)
NI - Needs Improvement - means your child is in the 70-79% range (C grade)
U - Unsatisfactory - means your child's average is less than 70% (D or F grade)
We will move from expressions to equations after the new year. We will also take a mid-year exam a few weeks after the break. As always, I'm available for extra help on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school and Wednesdays during lunch.
What you can do at home: Check Edmodo for the new grade posts!
